Good News and Bad News

-Provincial BMX Cup #1

The first BMX Provincial Cup race of the season has taken place and was a great success. Great volunteers made for a smoothly run race and a turnout of 223 riders made for a great start to the season. -Fire Destroys Dukes Cycle

Not Alberta related, but important news none the less. Duke’s Cycle; a bike shop in Toronto in business since 1914 has burnt to the ground. A large fire started in a stereo shop a few doors down and proceeded to engulf the surrounding buildings. A piece of Canadian Cycling history was lost and condolences go out to the entire Duke family.
