Canada Day Crit – United Cycle goes 1 – 2

July 1, 2008 – Edmonton, AB

United Cycle goes 1 – 2 in the Cat 1/2&3 race at the 2008 Canada Day Crit.

Mark Bomhof (United Cycle) took the win with consistent sprinting and teamwork while Tim Heemskerk (United Cycle) was able to clear the green spew from his lungs [collected during this past Sunday’s podium effort at the dusty Kamloops Canada Cup MTB Race] to claim 2nd spot in the points race.

Points were awarded every 4 laps in increments of 5-3-2-1 for the top four riders with double points on the line for the final sprint.

Jeff Barnes was 3rd while Graham Shrive (Pedalhead Road Works) finished 4th.

Full results to be posted once available.
