Bow 80

Provided by Bob @ Bow Cycle

The rains came early in the week and fulfilled their promise to slow the Bow 80 down to a crawl. With 199 starters and 176 finishers, this was definitely a race of attrition. But the racers still made it impressive.

Syd from RVC was impressive riding a Kona Paddy Wagon around this course in just under 9 hours and completing it on a flat tire.

Cory Wallace, from the reports I was given, pulled away on Jumpingpound not to be seen again until the finish winning the coveted King of Kananaskis crown for the year. Mical Dyck had an equally impressive win on the women’s side capturing the Queen’s title.

Overall, on a race course covered in mud, riders from western Canada made a great day in the mountains.
