Calgary Double Header CX – Beans and Barley and BK Memorial

Day 1 saw Terrascape Racing hosted the Beans & Barley Cross on September 27th. The 3rd annual Cyclo-cross event hosted by the club changed it’s name but the rest remained the same! Another great turnout saw Bailey McKnight (Synergy) start the day off in dominating fashion winning the Men’s sport race. Kris Dahl (CMC/Bow Cycle) proved just as strong pulling away the pack to win the Expert Men’s race. Mical Dyck (Terrascape/Trek) and Pepper Harlton (Juventus) battled it out all day with Dyck taking the win by only 12 seconds. Coming off his ‘Cross Vegas apperance Tim Heemskerk (United Cycle) would avenge his week 1 defeat and beat David Larson (Juventus) for the Open Men’s win. Full results are available [here].

Race #2 of the doubleheader weekend had Bicisport host the the 2nd running of the Brian Kullman Memorial Cross on September 28th. In perfect conditions riders would battle closely in each category. Another large pack of Expert men saw Kris Dahl (CMC/Bow Cycle) taking his second win of the weekend. In the women saw Mical Dyck (Terrascape/Trek) narrowly beat Pepper Harlton (Juventus) for the second consecutive day. In the Men’s sport category Brian Carson (Schmoe Racing) broke from the pack and took home the victory. In final race of the day Tim Heemserk (United Cycle) took home his second victory of the weekend. Check out full the full results [here].
