Bike Expo 2008

Provided by United Cycle

Each fall, United Cycle hosts Bike Expo – The Only Consumer Bicycle Trade Show in Northern Alberta

Exclusive to United Cycle, this event gives bike suppliers the opportunity to showcase their latest and greatest products to the Northern Alberta market and the consumer has the opportunity to see these products, often before they are available on the market. This year we have a great day planned with appearances by Olympic gold medalist, Lori-Ann Muenzer, Jay Hoots and Ben Boyko of the Norco Factory Team as well as Dave Rytell from MirraCo and, straight off the winners podium at this years Red Bull Rampage, Brandon Semenuk from Trek.

We have teamed up with the ETS Stuff A Bus campaign so please show up with a non-perishable food item and help support Edmonton’s Food Bank. Also, we will be holding a Silent Auction with proceeds going to the Make A Wish Foundation and Edmonton Mountain Bike Association (EMBA).

Throughout the day we will be giving away over $6000 in prizes so make sure you stop in and see all the new gear for next season. Click the link below to more information and a list of prizes.

In 2007, more than 3000 bike enthusiasts attended, and they were treated to the latest in bike technology through demonstrations, seminars, maintenance tips and the unveiling of the new bikes for the upcoming year.

This year United Cycle Bike Expo will focus on the challenges and fun to “GO BY BIKE” in making the bike an essential and sustainable source of transportation, exercise, and family activity.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

  1. Great to see so may folks there – there was a good buzz in the air and I think we can look forward to great season ahead! It’s great to see so many facets of the cycling community all in one place at one time.
